None of the current phones from Verizon are LTE phones, so no they won’t be able to use their 4G network. The only items Verizon has out right now that can use their 4G network are a couple of laptop data cards.
I am in the same boat and am holding out. I talked to a Verizon rep who told the new LTE phones may hit around April. The reps usually don’t know a whole lot more than the public though so take it for what it’s worth. If you mainly make calls and text go ahead and get one of their phones they have now. 4G will mainly be a benefit if you surf the web.
