Capturing Context and Context Aware Systems and Platforms

The open international workshop “Capturing Context and Context Aware Systems and Platforms” will provide an insight into the current state of development of Context Capturing, Context Management and Handling, and Use of Context, with particular emphasis on the progress made within the FP6 Integrated Research Projects e-SENSE, MAGNET Beyond, DAIDALOS, and the FP6 Network of Excellence CRUISE.

 

The workshop addresses sensor networking and middleware aspects for collaboratively capturing and disseminating context, as well as context information and example context aware applications and services.

 

The workshop will present a general overview of the four European projects followed by highlighting technical aspects under analysis in the different Integrated Research Projects, from the driver scenarios to the architecture of the systems and platforms, and the capturing and use of context information.
